Valeria Pinet Sanchez

Environmental Program Coordinator

Valeria received a B.A. in Urban Sustainability with a Sociology concentration from Brooklyn College. Starting out as a PLACE Mentor in the Summer of 2023, she continued to cultivate her passion for environmental justice and what it means to have a stake in the green spaces we inhabit.

With roots in Mexico, and raised in Michigan, she now lives and works in the Bronx as the Environmental Program Coordinator. She works in helping to build an informed and engaged community in environmental stewardship work throughout various Bronx parks and green spaces. Her favorite park is Shoelace Park since it’s the best space to get a nice walk along the greenway.
