Gaia Rueda-Moreno

Tree Care Coordinator

Gaia (she/her) is a Venezuelan-American and recent graduate from NYU, with a degree in Ecology and Environmental Studies, and a passion for urban environmental issues. Her ongoing work as an urban evolutionary ecologist has studied how life goes on in the city, from the recently-introduced Spotted Lanternfly, to entire ecosystems. As the Tree Care Coordinator, she strives to develop citizen science and outreach initiatives, to allow the local community to engage with the environmental issues which affect them every day.
