Henry is a social worker with a background in environmental stewardship. Originally from Montana, he got his start facilitating outdoor leadership programs in remote wilderness areas across the West. After moving to New York for graduate school, he interned with Green City Force, an urban agriculture and green jobs training program based in Brooklyn, expanding support services for program alumni. At The Bronx is Blooming, he manages the Program for Leaders Advancing their Community's Environment (PLACE), incorporating personal and professional skills development into environmental stewardship. Henry is a proud AmeriCorps alum with a BA from Carroll College and a MSW from the Columbia University School of Social Work. As the PLACE/Youth Development Coordinator, Henry manages PLACE summer and school year programming as well as the PLACE alumni network.
